ProCell MD Face | Post Treatment

  1. DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE FOR 12 - 24 HOURS.

  2. The initial redness/sunburn feeling can remain for a period of 2-6 hours depending on the aggressiveness of your treatment.

  3. DO NOT TOUCH the treated area with your hands, cellphones, or any other foreign objects for AT LEAST 2 HOURS! When things touch your face they lead to irritation & irration can lead to allergic reactions! DO. NOT. TOUCH.

  4. AVOID direct sun exposure for 24 HOURS. Sunscreen can be applied the next day.

  5. Shorter needle depths (0.25 mm - 0.5 mm) the skin may remain unchanged or exhibit a light red/pink glow what will likely be gone by the following morning.

  6. Longer needle depths (1.0mm) can leave the skin with a sunburned appearance for 2-3 days with potential pinprick scabbing (red dots) & will return to normal in 4-5 days.

  7. AVOID NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil, Apsirin) for about 24-48 hours. This will hinder the inflammatory response. Tylenol is appropriate if you need pain relief

  8. AVOID ice packs. These hinder the inflammatory response.

  9. Flaking/Peeling of the skin is completely normal & is a healing response to the bodies inflammation brought on by microchanneling

General Aftercare Guidelines…

Your ProCell AfterCare kit should be used DAILY to enhance your results. Your aftercare kit contains two serums.

1) Cellular Renewal Serum: Supports cellular renewal. This serum has potent regenerating properites to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone. Fine and wrinkles diminish over time and slkin looks and feels brighter, more luminous, and healthier.

After cleansing. Apply 2-3 pumps to face or treated area AM/PM. Massage very lightly into the skin until fully absorbed.

2) Healing Acceleraor Serum: Contains powerful moisturizers and growth factors. Keeps skin revitalized and healthy while helping seal in hydrophilic active serum ingredients further enhancing and maintaining their effects. Apply 2-3 pumps to the face or treated area AFTER Cellular Renewal Serum. Massage very lightly into the skin until fully absorbed.

You may resume your regular skincare routine within 24-48 hours. This may need to be adjusted in longer needle depths were used and healing time is prolonged.

Routine

  1. Cleanse

  2. Antioxidant/Vitamin C (this may need to be put on hold for a few days if your skin is sensitized after microchanneling, which can definitely happen)

  3. Cellular Renewal Serum

  4. Healing Accelerator Serum

  5. Moisturizer

  6. SPF (SPF should ONLY be applied 24 hours AFTER treatment)

AVOID RETINOID AND AHA/BHA products for 5-7 days post treatment

KEEP SKIN MOISTURIZED. You may exprience drying and tightening of the skin. Applying moisturizer liberally will help with the dryness.

the purge…

Any sort of facial treatment that is “stimulating” the skin can contribute to breakouts, or most notably knwon as “purging.”

Purging occurs when the skin gets excited and is a very common side effect of treatments like microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning & even facials! It can happen to anyone at anytime, but especially if you have not been treated in over 3 months or if this is your first treatment.

Purging can be a single breakout or many.

The important thing…

Change NOTHING about your skincare routine. Your purging breakouts will resolve in about 2-5 days.

If you scrap your skincare in favor of something "super gentle”, during purging, it delays healing of the breakout(s).

Purging tells up the treatment(s) is doing what it is supposed to do; lifting all the dirt, oil, sebum etc., to the surface and "purging" on the skin to reveal a brighter complexion underneath.

Never pick the purge…

Purging is beautiful, we love her.
